Frenuloplasty lengthens the small bridge of skin under the foreskin. It is performed under local anaesthesia with minimal discomfort.

The frenulum shows an area of shortening and scarring due to previous tears
The frenulum is stretched gently prior to local anaesthesia
Local anaesthetic is injected to numb the area
An inverted "V" shaped incision is made then deepened to remove the deeper scar tissue
The incision is sewn up as an inverted "Y" Sometimes a thecniques called "Z plasty" may be more appropriate

The result three months later: 1.2 cm of lengthtening has been gained
